Shipping policy

1. Delivery Charges

Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban and Port Elizabeth (PE).

Main Areas:

FREE Delivery for all orders over R850.
Orders under R850 (after any discounts) will be charged a R150 delivery fee. 

*All dog beds have a R150 delivery fee 

Other Areas:

2. How long will my order take to arrive?

We aim to delight our customers by delivering our orders in the quickest possible time.

As we are only an online shop with no warehouse we do not keep stock on hand, when PetX receives your order please bear in mind that we will have to order from suppliers, we try and do this as quick as possible and try to get your parcel on the road asap. usually between 3- 4 working days. Local areas can sometimes get it in 2 working days. Some of our Suppliers like Rogz and Barukh takes a bit longer as we are unable to send the parcel direct from them so these orders can take a bit longer

As indicated on certain specialty product pages, the delivery estimate for those items may be longer than the 3 working days so kindly allow more time for these items to reach you.

For remote and outlying areas please allow up to 10 working days for your delivery to reach you.

Stock Shortages

Should a product you have ordered be:

  • Temporarily unavailable, we will notify you thereof as well as the anticipated delay in delivery and, unless you agree to wait for such longer period for delivery, or accept delivery of another product instead, PetX will issue a refund in respect of that product to you or give you the option for a credit voucher to an amount equal to the price paid for the product (plus any additional charges applied**).
  • Discontinued / Permanently unavailable we will notify you and, unless you agree to accept another product instead, PetX will issue a refund in respect of that product to you or give you the option for a credit voucher to an amount equal to the price paid for the product (plus any additional charges applied**).


3. Delivery Times

MONDAYS - FRIDAYS: 08h00-17h00 - Our couriers do a pick up on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays. 

4. Late Deliveries

The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECT Act") entitles you to cancel your purchase within 7 days’ notice if the products you have purchased are not delivered within the agreed delivery period as specified in the our Delivery Policy. Certain items for sale on the website do have a lead time for delivery published on the product detail pages and need to be taken into account as part of our delivery policy. Should you choose to cancel an order which has not been received within our delivery times, items either need to be:

  • not accepted and returned with the courier upon delivery; or
  • if already received, returned to PetX in their original state. On buyers own account.

All order cancellations must be done emailing petxsales@gmail.com or 082 496 4596.. We will then refund you as per our refund policy.
